(Bloomberg) – JM Smucker Co. Some Jeff Peanut Butter products sold in the United States and Canada are withdrawing due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The Orville, Ohio-based company extended the withdrawal of popular brand Peanut Butter products in Canada a day after announcing a voluntary withdrawal in the United States on Saturday. Consumers who have a variety of crunchy, creamy and squeeze products should dispose of them immediately, the company said.

Salmonella is a bacterial disease that causes fever, diarrhea and vomiting and JM Smacker is working on withdrawal with the Food and Drug Administration. The financial impact is not yet known and the company said in a statement on Friday that it would provide additional information as soon as possible.

JM Smacker recorded বিক্রি 2.06 billion in net sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31, with peanut butter and other consumer foods accounting for nearly one-fifth of revenue. Jeff’s sales, its Smackers Fruit Spread and Uncrustable Frozen Sandwiches increased due to eating at home during the epidemic, although its consumer food segment lags behind its retail pet and coffee segment in sales.

The company will report its financial fourth-quarter earnings on June 7.
